The landscape of Ballyvaughan contains an abundance of intricacies and history.  When I learned the purpose of the Famine walls, I was reminded that we all build walls, not because we want to, but because we feel we have to in order to survive. When I was nineteen, I began exploring my sexual identity. My early sexual experiences were not positive, and because of that, I have isolated myself from all forms of intimacy. Being gay/queer is already an isolating experience, and it is through video/performance that I am beginning to acknowledge what I need to overcome in order for me to gain a more fulfilling life.
